Airport Information

Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson, just 1.5hrs north of Columbus, is the closest major airport. If you're not interested in driving to Columbus, there are a few daily flights between Atlanta and Columbus (CSG). Alternatively, Groome runs hourly and is a convenient and reliable way to get to town from the airport. Columbus does have Uber and there are plenty of rental car services in town.

Hotel Information

Below are links to a selection of local hotels, all located in downtown Columbus and convenient to our event location, each with its own unique personality. We recommend reserving sooner rather than later if you have a preference as downtown hotels book quickly. Thera are, unfortunately, no block rates available because our group is not large enough, but the below hotels offer a variety of price ranges. We will have welcome bags for out-of-town guests, so when you RSVP, please do let us know where you are staying. If you need more suggestions beyond these, please feel free to reach out.

Our Favorite Local Restaurants

11th & Bay, MaBella's Italian Steakhouse, and Salt Cellar are great dinner options if you're coming into town on Thursday or will miss dinner at the welcome party on Friday. Reservations are highly recommended for all three as they fill up fast.

Nonic at Highside Market is a new favorite in town. The vibes are great, but the food is even better. If you go for brunch, we recommend making a reservation! Or, put your name down and mill around the cool shops inside Highside while you wait.

Banks Food Hall is perfect for a crowd with diverse tastes. Located right on the Chattahooche River, this food hall has seven different stalls and serves everything from tacos to poke bowls.

The Mix Market is a great game day spot if you're looking for classic pub food with televisions playing non-stop college football. They don't take reservations, so we recommend going early to scope out a table.

The Lunch Counter at Dinglewood Pharmacy serves up old-school charm and the best hot pink hot dogs you'll ever have. Enjoy a scrambled dog, cut up weenie, with extra pickles and crackers (the bride's go-to order!) at this 107-year-old Columbus classic.

Our Favorite Local Attractions

There are various breweries in town if you're trying to catch a bit of college football before the festivities on Saturday. We recommend checking out local favorites downtown such as Chattabrewchee and Scofflaw Brewing, both located along 5th Avenue.

The Chattahooche Riverwalk is a great place to stretch your legs during the day. Enter down by Wavershaper Island to watch the white water rapids and kayakers on warm, sunny days. If you're up for a little adventure, try your hand at ziplining or raft down Columbus' iconic white water course, which is the longest urban white water course in the world.

The Bo Bartlett Center is Anna's favorite museum in town. The small gallery showcases the work of her favorite Columbus artist, Bo Bartlett. The Columbus Museum, though, is home to Anna's favorite work of Bartlett's, a 1995 piece entitled 'Homecoming.'

If you're looking to do a little vintage shopping, check out Gallerie 143 for home finds. The Vibe on 6th and Silver Hanger inside Highside Market are great options for vintage clothing and more eclectic home finds.

The National Infantry Museum offers an in depth look back into America's past and the military operations that shaped it. The award-winning museum is extremely well curated and offers interactive and immersive exhibits.

Callaway Gardens, Garrett and Anna's favorite spot to spend an afternoon in nature, offers a lovely escape out of the city. Explore the quaint town of Pine Mountain or grab lunch at the Country Store on your way to the Butterfly Center. Plan for travel to Callaway to take at least one hour each way from downtown Columbus.
